SECTION 1
CIVICS
Civics is the study of rights and duties of citizenship. In other words,
it is the study of government with attention to the role of citizens ?
as opposed to external factors ? in the operation and oversight of
government.

SECTION 2
CITIZENSHIP
Citizenship is membership in a political community (originally a city or
town but now usually a country) and carries with it rights to political
participation; a person having such membership is a citizen.
It is largely coterminous with nationality, although it is possible to
have a nationality without being a citizen (i.e., be legally subject to
a state and entitled to its protection without having rights of political
participation in it); it is also possible to have political rights without
being a national of a state. In most nations, a non-citzen is a non-national
and called either a foreigner or an alien.

SECTION 3
BILL
OF
RIGHTS
A Bill of Rights is a list of the most important rights of the citizens
of a country. The purpose of these bills is to protect those rights
against infringement by the government.
Bills of rights may be entrenched or unentrenched.
An entrenched bill of rights cannot be modified or repealed by a country's
legislature through normal procedure, instead requiring a supermajority or
referendum; often it is part of a country's constitution and therefore
subject to special procedures applicable to constitutional amendments.
An unentrenched bill of rights is a normal statute law and as such can be
modified or repealed by the legislature at will. In practice, not every
jurisdiction enforces the protection of the rights articulated in its bill
of rights.

SECTION 4
GLOBAL
CIVICS
Global civics suggests to understand civics in a global sense as a social
contract between the world citizens in the age of interdependence and
interaction. The disseminators of the concept define it as the notion that
we have certain rights and responsibilities towards each other by the mere
fact of being human on Earth.
The advocates of the notion attempt to demonstrate that it is possible
to imagine global civics. According to this attempt, in an increasingly
interdependent world, the world citizens need a compass that would frame
their mindsets, and create a shared consciousness and sense of global
responsibility against some world issues such as environmental problems
and nuclear proliferation.

SECTION 5
WORLD
CITIZEN
World citizen has a variety of similar meanings, often referring
to a person who disapproves of traditional geopolitical divisions
derived from national citizenship.
An early incarnation of this sentiment can be found in Socrates,
who said, "I am not an Athenian, or a Greek, but a citizen of the
world.". The Tamil poet, Kaniyan Poongundran wrote in Purananuru,
"To us all towns are one, all men our kin".
In a non-political definition, it has been suggested that a world
citizen may provide value to society by using knowledge acquired
across cultural contexts.
In some scenarios, a savvy businessperson who has travelled the
world would be able to use knowledge about resources and products
found abroad to create business where value can be maximised.
