SECTION 1
GREEN
CHURCH
PROJECT
The Green Church Project is all about uniting churches in a single
community so that more people can be embraced by the church and feel
welcomed. Too many churches are singular and alone which often makes
it difficult for new members to become a real part of a church,
fortunately thanks to the Green Church Project that is all about to
change.
Perhaps the most important part of the entire Green Church Project
though is the green part of the community. The Green Church Project
not only embraces new communities but also helps make churches
significantly more environmentally friendly through power savings
and giving back to the community in a number of ways.
Becoming more green not only helps attract new church members but
it has also saved many of the Green Church Project participants
significant amounts of money on power and water for the church.
In every single way the Green Church Project is working to
constantly improve the environmental impact from churches while
also getting churchgoers involved so that the green movement
will spread beyond just the church (thanks goes to maler for
their contribution).

SECTION 2
THE
GREEN
CHURCH
ASSOCIATION
We are a nonprofit organization that is committed to helping
churches implement green practices. We encourage all churches
to consider how they can reduce the use of toxic chemicals,
implement recycling practices, conserve water, make purchasing
decisions that have a positive impact on the environment, and
achieve greater energy efficiency.
We believe that living out our faith means being a good steward
of God's creation. We believe that God calls us to consider how
our actions help or harm others. We believe that our churches
should be places that promote the health of our members and the
health of others throughout the world.
If your church is just beginning to consider green practices,
we encourage you to build a team and get started. Initial steps
might include focusing on just one ministry area of the church.
For example, you might work with the children's ministry
leadership to review the cleaning chemicals used in rooms that
serve young children. Implementing green cleaning practices
requires a little effort researching products, yet there are
typically minimal or no additional costs for these products.
The youth of the church might collect funds to purchase some
blue recycling bins that can be placed throughout the church
and challenge congregation member to make sure they recycle.
Consider what groups in your church are open to going green
and ask them to help you get started.
